His girlfriend Lauren Silverman is pregnant with his first child.
And while he couldn't be more supportive, it's clear Simon Cowell has no plans to cut back on his large group of female friends.
The X Factor star celebrated his birthday with some friendly one-on-one time with his ex-love Terri Seymour on Monday.
Simon and the Extra correspondent have remained on close terms even after they split in 2008.
The pair were seen leaving Simon's Beverly Hills mansion and heading into the city's posh business district together.
After parking the car, Simon and Terri apparently went their separate ways but only for a short while.
He walked inside an office building while the former model breezed into a beauty salon to get her nails done.
Such a good mood: The usually tough-talking TV critic was wearing a big birthday smile
Meet up with you later: After parking in a
Beverly Hills garage, Simon went to an office building while Terri
headed to a beauty parlor to get her nails done
Polished and pretty: After a while Terri emerged with her new manicure and eventually met up again with Simon
A short while Simon and Terri paired up again and drove back to his house together.
It must have been a touching reunion and a chance to catch up, and surely Terri wanted to know all about the baby boy Simon is expecting with New York socialite Lauren, who is due in February.
Simon also recently hinted his plans to wed Lauren now that she's divorced from Andrew Silverman.
TP'd: Simon also got a surprise 'toilet paper
attack' on his Beverly Hills home courtesy of girl group Fifth Harmony,
but he seemed to take that in stride
Meanwhile, the media mogul had another surprise waiting for him when he arrived home on Monday to find that his Beverly Hills mansion had been 'toilet papered.'
Photos showed Simon's sedate home adorned with streamers of white toiler paper as well as a big flyer that said jokingly: 'Happy 87th Birthday Simon!! Love, Fifth Harmony'
It was a prank played by the girl band Fifth Harmony, who originally rose to fame on last year's X Factor USA and is composed of Ally Brooke, Camila Cabello, Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui and Normani Kordei.
From Fifth Harmony with love: The toilet paper
streamers were meant as a prank from the girl group, who appeared on X
Factor USA last year
