When most people get hot, stripping down to your underwear isn't an option.
But Miley Cyrus is not most people.
on Wednesday the star stripped down to a pink silk bra having already tried out two other outfit changes as she promoted her new album at Planet Hollywood in New York.
It had been a busy day for Miley, and judging by her final outfit, the former teen star needed some cooling off.
Holding on to a male friend, Miley appeared to be unfazed by the fact she was walking around in public in her smalls.
The We Can't Stop singer held a bejeweled handbag as she was escorted to her vehicle by a friend.

Earlier in the day, Miley wore a sparkly silver chain necklace and ripped white jeans that hung well below her waist, revealing her white mesh panties.
Miley was true to form, flashing her tongue for the cameras as she held out her CD.
And the young singer didn't curb her provocative ways when her 54-year-old mother Tish arrived, dressed for the cool New York evening, unlike her young daughter.

Miley certainly has a lot riding on the success of her latest album.
The star is desperate to break away from her teen image and be considered as an artist.
However, Miley's chosen route so far has been to shock as much as possible with her image, rather than her music.

Miley explained in her MTV documentary The Movement however that her latest sound is 'not' a transition.
She revealed: 'People always like to call it a transition. I'm the same human - I have the same heart that I had five years ago. Everything about me is the same. Same skin, same human.'
She also explained: 'With this record there's a lot of pressure, because I haven't had one out in two years'.

According RadarOnline, Miley wanted no expense spared in making her launch night one to remember and flew in monkeys, little people and the cast of Beacher’s Madhouse.
'Miley wanted the most over the top ‘Madhouse’ ever so she had Jeff bring the cast from Los Angeles including monkeys and little people,' a source told the website.
Aiming for an outrageous party with lots of surprises, 'Miley isn’t doing anything small scale anymore, everything is a huge dramatic production.'

Earlier in the day, Miley put on quite a show at Times Square, giving fans the explicit and raunchy performances they've come to expect.
She sang her latest single Wrecking Ball in a pair of extremely short shorts.
Most of the dance routine involved a lot of grinding, all in a day's twerk for Miley.
But she kept her top half covered with a large white shirt, perhaps giving her fans something to look forward to at the release party.

In an accompanying interview with the Today Show anchor, Miley revealed that she'll continue her 'sexual' performances to at least 40 years of age.
'Probably around 40, I heard that's when people don't have sex any more. So I guess maybe around then,' the star said when asked by Matt.
The We Can't Stop singer also remained defiant about her antics of late - which include her steamy MTV performance and a clash with Irish singer Sinead O'Connor via social media - insisting she won't apologize for her behavior.
Miley quipped: 'If I owe anybody an apology it's the people who make the bottom half of shirts.'
