Christian elders and a coalition of over 14 Christian groups in Nigeria have accused President Muhammadu Buhari administration of scheming to turn the country to an Islamic State "through the backdoor", saying such action contravenes Nigeria's Constitution.
The spokesperson of the coalition and National President of National Christian Elders Forum (NCEF), Mr. Solomon Asemota (SAN), Prelate of Methodist Church/Head of Christian Council of Nigeria bloc in Christian Association of Nigeria, Emmanuel Udofia, and Leader of Christian Professionals Forum (CPF) Prof. (Bishop) Funmi Adesanya-Davies, made the allegation yesterday in Abuja at a press conference held on Friday in Abuja.
