ULSU surrenders, tells UNILAG students to sign “readmission” forms

The University of Lagos’ (UNILAG) suspended student union (ULSU) may have finally caved in to the “ruthless” tactics of the school management.

The management shut the school after ULSU led students to protest against inadequate water and electricity supply.

UNILAG then told students only those who sign “readmission” forms would be allowed to write exams scheduled to begin on May 9, just a week after the May 2 reopening date.

After learning of the development, ULSU threatened hellish hail and even enlisted the help of Lagos lawyer Ebun Adegboruwa to throw legal punches at the management.

ULSU also urged students not to sign the forms as that would mean signing away their rights.

But as the school stood its ground on the conditions for “readmission”, and as the day of reckoning (resumption) dawned all, ULSU said it has now changed its stance.
