18+ The story of a Nairobi prostitute and how she became a millionaire at age 24

This is the most popular story on the Kilimani Mums private Facebook group right now. A young lady from Nairobi narrates how she went in to the dark world of prostitution and witchcraft. The story is posted as it appears on the group (very minimal editing).

I am here to tell these ladies my life as a prostitute. How I got in and how I opened my own brothel. How brothel owners use witchcraft and how I left it all behind and got saved.

I came to Nairobi in 2006 to join college. I was good in class but I did not make it to the third year because I lacked school fees. So mimi huyo nikafkuzwa shule and that’s how the hustle began.

I used to stay on Jogoo road with my sister. We lived in a single room. No water or electricity and rent was 3k. My sister worked in town and was being paid 5k salary. That was rent, food, fare.

When i remember those days I do not cry, i thank God coz penye niko saa hii its through Him.

So back to kufkuzwa shule. So I used to go kwa cyber kuwatch porno sana hahaha…those days ulikuwa unaenda kwa cyber kuziona and i am sure there are some mamas who were doing it hizo enzi lol. So kwa zile harakati za kuona por*n, I saw a site being advertized hapo kwa screen. The site was Adult Friend Finder(najua kuna.watu washaanza kugoogle i.e those who dont know it).

I decided to create my profile and was approved. Of course I didnt put my photo there. That was in early 2008 and i was 22 yrs old. On Adult friend finder I had listed myself a Bi. I started chatting with two chics. One was 19 then(later came to find out she was my cousin after we went to meet an aunt of mine with her and kumbe that was her aunt too and Mungu wangu I had already kissed and licked her this cousin of mine!) and the other one was 23 a year older. They all became my best friends btw. The only best friends I have ever had in my life. They knew everything about me. 

So lets call my 19 year old cousin Pauline and the 23 year old Mary. Remember I used to stay with my siz. We were close and we used to do everything together but ikafika siku the boyfriend came between us. He used to come, spend the day on a sunday and leave at around 10pm kwenda kwao. One sunday he didnt leave and hiyo ndiyo siku tulikosana na sistangu. My sister invited the boyfriend to the bed and he slept between us. When I complained I was asked ‘kwani anakulalia?’. It was soo painful but he used to pay 5k. Fast forward, me, Pauline and a lady from the brothel called Lucy became three inseparable friends. Kuingia job ilikuwa 6am na kutoka was 10pm. Lucy used to stay in Kawangware so for her it was easier. Pauline used to stay in Umoja Siku moja Lucy told me twende tukatafute. Clients kwa barabara. We wore jeans. Sio those short clothes. Me na Lucy we went and stood kwa barabara hapo chaka place but tukafukuzwa na prostitutes wengine ati that was their territory. We didnt know. Tukasonga mbele near Yaya and we claimed the spot.

It was now around 1am. Lucy alibahatika akabebwa na saraga(customer) akaniacha but we promised to tell each other we were safe. Me nikangoja kitu kama 2am nikabebwa na saraga mmoja. Before I got in(it was a taxi guy btw) me niliskia amesema kshs. 2000. Si mi nikaingia haraka we went to a parking ya flats hapo next to prestige and he did his job. Me nimefurahi juu najua nitalipwa 2k.

I was paid kshs. 200. Sikubishana lest nichapwe The taxi guy took me kwa stage nikapanda mat. Nikaenda tao. Tao there was only one mat na haikuwa inafika mpaka mwisho. Penye ilinifikisha ni kama kutoka afya center mpaka Ngara. Bear in mind. Ni kitu 3 ama 4am hapo. Walked that road nikilia and i thank God nothing happened to me. South C was safe those days. Sijui siku hizi.

Nilifika home poa na ka200 kangu nikadoze. Next day was at work 6am. Btw sikushow Lucy how much i was paid. And didnt tell you that kwa brothel ukilipwa na customer 1k is always ya Madam ya kulipia room. So ukiingia huko na customer u bargain your all so that at least ukuwe na 500 kwa mfuko ama thao

Anyway, lucy said tusimame hapo chaka tena. Tukasimama. That day nilibebwa na another guy and he took me to his house in Riruta. He had a small kid and a wife( I saw pics and a baby cot) and its like the wife had traveled or something. We had s*x and asubuhi akanipa 1500. Of course job straight nikaenda. We were getting fed up na Madam. Those Madams wa brothels wao hunyanyasa hao madame sana. We used to contribute for electricity ati juu ya kuchemsha maji ya customers. Elec was 8k per month nabaki hata hujamake kitu

What made me stop standing hapo hurlingham was one day we were standing there and kukaanza kunyesha saana. We ran to a flat ilikuwa inajengwa. Saa hii its done hata and its very beautiful. Lucy got a mzungu so he was funding her. Lenana rd we were more than 10 girls. Huko ndio niliona compe. You had to dress in a bikini ama thong to be chosen kwa lineup. Sleeping we had one room. 5 used to sleep huko and the rest unajitafutia space kwa kiti, floor, chini ya reception desk etc. But you were not supposed to be caught sleeping in the two massage rooms.
