Na wa oh! This is sad, read how a director derived a lady from playing TonTo's kid sister because she didn't pay for the role.
Some say that no female actor has ever made it without giving in to sexual harassments or conditions and some say that we can't make it without buying roles. But then I resorted to making auditions my best friend. Because when I get there I do my best and end up getting a role without the conditions but then later it comes up again, when I say no they take the role and give to someone else Who said yes but not a good actor. Sometime ago I was in Port Harcourt and I was called to come down to play a role as Tonto's younger sister. They said that I was good and that I looked a little like her. I left my place of youth service and went down to Asaba. The crew members were excited when they saw me and they said that I was the perfect cast. I was there for days waiting for Tonto's arrival. The day she came in they called me, took the script from me and gave it to a girl who just came in that day, so I was told she paid for the role but then this girl looked like she was Tonto's elder sister and the crew members kept complaining. Finally I got fed up and left the set. It was very painful because all these happened because I refused to dance by the drums. It's an experience I can't forget because by the time I got back to my place of assignment I had a query awaiting me. It was a big job and was directed by a big director

This is the type of ugly and pathetic stories that trail our beautiful Nollywood industry, and each time this wickedness happens, the heart of one innocent and hopeful seeker of succor from Nollywood is brutally wounded and made bitter against the perpetrators of those wicked acts against her. They eternally, like our victim above, remember this evil and continue to ask God for vengeance against those enemies of their progress. One thing I have enjoyed as EP, producer and Director is the uplifting remarks made by those who have crossed my paths and were never asked to give themselves or give gifts and money for roles. Good name still stands taller than wealth. A lady was invited four years ago to come and work on one of my projects and she did and left. Two years after, I met her in Enugu with her friends and I was visibly blushing as she excitedly introduced me to her friends as the only producer/ director who can give you jobs and not DEMAND sex from you. I have also been sweetly moved to tears once by a lady I fought to secure a role for in one job in Enugu. I finished my directing and went back to my base without even waiting to be thanked by her. Three days after I left, she called me to know my wayabout. I told her I had gone back to my base. She asked me to send my PA to her and I did. The lady had gone and shopped for clothes and footwears worth more than N250, 000 and sent to me to appreciate me. I didn't ask for it, but I got it with prayers of increments from God by her for me. The opposite is that when you oppress them to submit to your heinous sex demands, you get dangerous curses from them and their prayers to God to visit you with evil, and I tell you, those prayers against you are effective against your life.
SEX for ROLES is EVIL & PAYMENT for ROLES is EVIL. They are OPPRESSIVE ACTS and God HATES oppressors.
