You see, you can't be relevant forever! Oh, you poor souls, who, on this day, will have to suffer through one of the most depressing videos that has ever been created. This video, if your heart can even bear it, shows Brandy, the girl with the phenomenal voice and the pretty OK acting skills, the girl who brought us such glory as "The Boy Is Mine" and "Moesha," being dreadfully ignored as she shares her beautiful gift of song on the subway. You know what they say about casting your pearls before swine ...
Before you start to feel too bad though, it seems like Brandy's got a good perpective on this:
I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay in New York. Ever since moving here in April I've made sure to REALLY experience the city.
I've hung out in Central Park, Times Square, ridden the bus, and I've gotten accustomed to taking the subway too. I feel like a real New Yorker. I'm learning the streets and everything, y'all!
There's something different about NY. The energy and the drive of the people is just DIFFERENT. I like it!
Recently, Frank Silent and I took a little subway ride after I'd left the gym. Frank, his camera, and I always equal a good time.
I decided to hit the subway and sing my little heart out. You've GOTTA check out this video and see why this fun-filled morning left me asking: Can a Sistah get ONE fan?!
Brandi, honey, you surely can get one fan. Keep up these hysterics and you'll be on "Top of the World" in no time. It might feel like you'll never be able to regain your former popularity, but remember, "Never Say Never." Girl, "Have You Ever" even considered what a "Cinderella" story you could have? It's not "Impossible," not by a long shot.
