What would you do if you find a snake in your kitchen trying to swallowing your eggs? This is what Laura Neff did...

  

A home owner captured the bizarre moment a snake entered her house and attempted to swallow a whole egg.

Laura Neff, who lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, filmed the incident, which showed the snake descending a spice cupboard and heading towards the eggs on the counter.

Writing online, Laura said: ‘It was a run of the mill Sunday afternoon here on our little farmette, 

‘Until a noise in the kitchen made us look up... at the spice cabinet... where THIS was descending toward a basket of fresh eggs on the counter.’

According to Laura the reptile was identified as a Rat Snake, otherwise known as Black Racer.

The species is non-venomous and in fact considered beneficial to homeowners as it eats small rodents.

She claimed that the animal got inside via a hole in her laundry room floor – a hole she has now covered with concrete. 

And that she allowed it to finish the egg before attempting to remove it from her home.
