Crazy in love: Beyonce looks bemused
as her husband Jay Z enjoyed a boys' chat with David Beckham during the
Champions League match in Paris on Tuesday
As an all-American girl, she's not exactly privy to the rules of the beautiful game.
So
it's no surprise that superstar Beyonce looked a tad disinterested as
she took her seat to watch the Champions League match between French
side Paris Saint-Germain F.C. and Barcelona on Tuesday night.
The
singer, however, tried her best to engross herself in the action on the
pitch, especially as husband Jay Z enjoyed a deep conversation with
sports legend David Beckham next to her.
The pair chatted intently while watching the game, with David no doubt talking the rapper through the rules of the game.
Beyonce didn't seem to mind too much, however, and smiled as she took in the atmosphere of the huge stadium.
The
39-year-old's return to the Parc des Princes stadium was bound to be
emotional one as it comes six months since he played his last game there
alongside PSG players.
David broke down in tears as he retired from his beloved sport back in May, when he was given a standing ovation by the crowd.
Offside rule: It appeared the retired
footballer was keen to bring the American rapper up to date with the
rules of the beautiful game
Bored Bey? The pop superstar seemed a tad disinterested as she watched the pitch
At
the time, he said: 'I just feel that it's the right time. I feel that
I've achieved everything that I could in my career. I wanted to go out
as a champion.
'I've finished my career in a team that has treated me like I've been here for 10 years.'
But
David Beckham's trip to the venue this time round was a much more
joyous affair and he couldn't help grinning ear-to-ear as he took his
seat in the stands.
Back in the game: Jay Z finally gave his wife some attention, while David focused on the match
Smiling from the stands: Beyonce seemed to get into the match as it progressed
Beaming like Beckham: The sports icon
was thrilled to be back at the Parc des Princes stadium, where he made
his final bow as a professional footballer in May
He
headed to the big match with his best friend, sports agent Dave
Gardner, who also had a reason to be cheerful - he's set to have his
first child with girlfriend, Liv Taylor.
A spokesperson for the actress confirmed the news to UsWeekly and the couple are said to be thrilled.
The
baby will be Tyler's second. She is already mom to Milo, 9, from a
previous relationship. Gardner also has a son, Gray, from a previous
relationship.
Emotional return: His cheery demeanour
was a far cry from his final game as part of PSG, when he broke down in
tears after receiving a standing ovation from the crowd
Catch up: David also enjoyed a chat with another retired footballer, former Dutch player Patrick Kluivert
Legends unite: The pair were seen having a discussion before taking to their seats at the match
Meanwhile,
it's a rare boys' night out for David, who spent this week holding the
fort at wife Victoria's new flagship store on London's Dover Street.
The
hunk turned out to attend the official launch of the posh boutique
while the former Spice Girl gave an impassioned speech at the United
Nations after being unveiled as a Goodwill Ambassador.
Good news: David was joined by his best friend Dave Gardner, who is expecting a child with actress Liv Tyler
