She may be the shy side-kick on screen, but last night Kat Dennings took centre
stage as she showed off her famous curves at the world premiere of Thor: The Dark Word
Stepping on to the red carpet at London's Leicester Square, Kat channelled her inner Hollywood siren in a black velvet and gold dress and vampy red lips.
The 27-year-old actress looked nothing like her geeky Thor-character Darcy as she posed for the cameras alongside her co-stars Natalie Portman and Stellan Skarsgard.
Eye-catching: Kat Dennings turned heads in a dramatic dress which showed off her cleavage
Happy family: Kat Dennings, Stellan Skarsgard,
Natalie Portman and Christopher Eccleston put their arms around each
other on the red carpet
The dress somehow managed to both
cover and show off her famous chest, while her brown hair fell free over
her shoulders in a tousled do.Her out-of-bed look may not have been too far off the mark as she tweeted 'I just took a 5 hour nap and now it's night time WHAT HAPPENED' a few hours before the premiere on Tuesday night.
Dennings had her nails painted dark to match her dress and held a black and mother-of-pearl clutch in her hand.
She stuck to her glam look for the after party, held at Sake No Hana in central London, although it appears the dress struggled to keep her curves in place following the screening.
Demure: Kat kept her famous assets under wraps for the evening, only showing a hint of cleavage in her velvet dress
Taking the lead: Chris Hemsworth, Nathalia Portman and Tom Hiddleston are at the centre of the story
British weather: Kat Denning's hid under an
umbrella to escape the London drizzle as she arrived at Sake No Hana for
the after show party
Wardrobe issues: Kat was forced to hold on to
bother her hem and her cleavage as she made her way out of the car and
into the party
The 2 Broke Girls actress appeared to have enjoyed her time in the British capital as she tweeted: 'Thank you, London, for being so excellent. I am sad to leave you,' early Wednesday morning.
Kat was not the only one of the cast to praise London and their experience in the capital.
Baffled at the crowds of screaming fans lining Leicester Square, Chris Hemsworth said: 'I love shooting in London. I've done a number of films here now and to be back with this film that we started three years ago to this kind of reception is a dream come true.'
A large part of the American blockbuster – which is the follow up the 2011 film, has been filmed in the capital, with scenes being shot in both Greenwich and Borough Market.
Thor: The Dark World hits cinemas on 30th October
