Hijacker of EgyptAir flight arrested, passengers freed

• The man who hijacked a domestic flight heading from Cairo to Alexandria has been arrested, the Cypriot Foreign Ministry has said.
  The man, a university professor, who claimed to be wearing an explosive vest, forced the plane to land in Larnaca, in neighbouring Cyprus.
  The hijacker then asked to see his ex-wife in Cyprus.
  “It’s over,” Cypriot authorities said at 2:41 p.m.
